A Cherokee Legend
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is Evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is Good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
I found the story exactly a week ago and I knew what will be the Inspirational story of this first February Sunday. I can't keep thinking how we, Europeans, considered Natives to be savages and know nothing about the 'delicacy' of life, we were the 'better' ones... Think about the trend these past years - it's all about the return to roots, to nature. And that's what they have been all the time: connected with nature, with their inner.
May you feed the right wolf today and every day!!

Hello!
, (foarte) util", etc.
Succes şi la mai mare !
mama.
LOL - I will translate what my Mom commented above:
DeleteHello!
I liked the Legend, as well as all the articles (posts) before.
Many time I think too bad there are only 3 'Reactions' one can choose from.
It should have a 'very interesting', 'excellent', '(very) useful' etc.
Good luck!
Mom
And to answer - thanks, mom, much appreciated!
DeleteI have added a 'Useful' reaction, I'll see how to format the whole thing to add more :)
wonderful story and so true.
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri - I love it too! Thanks for stopping by :)
