If you've followed my artsy adventures you already know this past January I happened to be extremely lucky and be chosen in Lori Anderson's famous Bead Soup Blog Hop #5. I had no idea what got into me when I applied, I can't even remember how I ended up on Lori's site - I was new in the social networking of the jewelry artisans and I knew nobody!
That changed rapidly: first through the Bead Soup challenge itself, then Lori created the Facebook group, through there I befriended a few more, became a member in more groups... and the rest, as they say, it's truly history.
Important for me is that amazing day in January of 2012 when I was chosen and allowed to embark on a whole new adventure!
The road ahead might have lead me where I am today - but the path I've been pushed onto was and still is such a marvelous one! The path itself wouldn't have been possible without our dear Lori Anderson!
This is a post about her. She puts her heart in the Bead Soup Cafe and all its ramifications. She lovingly hand-holds us all and she's doing it with a smile and a good word for anybody in need. Even when she's the one in need, she'll still continue to care for others more. Because she's Lori: unique and beautiful.
She also loves pink and some time back she had actually done her hair pink!
After the massive BSBH#6 (400 artisans and designers! from all over the world) a group of equally nice ladies came up with an idea. A very simple idea: we all should decorate our hair pink (hair spray, beads, feathers, anything we could think of!), take a picture with us 'In Pink', and on a certain date we would all have a collective 'Lori, we LOVE you!' blog hop.
Not being a pink person at all, that posed some interesting challenge for me. Add to that we were on vacation at the time... luckily for me upon our return one of my orchids decided to help me. It gave me a few flowers and this is what I looked one very sunny afternoon:
This is my very public "Thank you" for Lori: thank you for everything you do to keep this community running as smoothly as possible. Thank you and know I love your dedication and your efforts, and I am happy and humbled to be part of this special and magnificent group.

ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful tribute to Lori! I love your words, "She puts her heart in the Bead Soup Cafe and all its ramifications. She lovingly hand-holds us all and she's doing it with a smile and a good word for anybody in need. Even when she's the one in need, she'll still continue to care for others more. But I am so glad to have participated and to have met you and so many, many other wonderful bead-crazy people. I love your beautiful orchids -- such a nice photo! ;)
