Focus on Life: Week 19 ~ Hope
Sally Russick of The Studio Sublime is hosting a year long challenge which is... sublime... as you'd expect with such a studio name. The challenge is named 'Focusing on Life' and every week Sally is sending a prompt on what should we focus the following week.
This week's prompt (when did 19 weeks pass by already?!) is one very dear to me: Hope.
I can probably talk forever about hope. I know a lot about it: from the dark times when hope was, sometimes, all we had to move us to the next day. From the better times of the present: when hope never leaves my side. I am wishful and hopeful and sometimes things happen (or I work to make it happen), sometimes they don't - but I don't loose the hope they will some day :)
Hope is the mother Robin waiting patiently for all her four babies to come out:
Hope is the first ray of light after breaking the shell (yes, we managed to see part of the miracle):
Hope is the huge beak opening for mama's (or daddy's - they seem to not care who feeds them as long as they are being fed) worms:
There is hope :) you just need to look carefully and uncover it!
I hope you found plenty of hope around yourself - for more please visit Ms. Sally's, it's going to be a hopeful gathering today!
P.S. Wandering through a store yesterday (in the hope of finding a decent top, which I did find :) ) I discovered this and I had to stop and take a picture (under the looks of the others around me, eyeing me curiously):
Hold on to hope, it's very precious!

Oh how exciting. We have a pair that nest on our outside light but are too high up for us to see inside the nest. The cats watch the comings and goings with great interest. They've been there for 4 years now.
ReplyDeleteIt is very exciting, indeed - we have only dogs so they are safe :) We fed them one worm - it was quite funny!
DeleteHow pretty. I love watching birds. I have a feeder outside my window and I love watching and listening to the birds. Great post.
ReplyDeleteThe chirping is insane - the nest is in a bush right outside our bedroom, it's a symphony of sounds every morning :)
DeleteGreat photos of the robins") I love your out take on Hope.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)

ReplyDeleteOh, wow! What a cool experience! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I didn't realize robins eggs were such a bright blue colour.
ReplyDeleteOutside my kitchen window, under the awning, is a box my father put there for birds to nest in. A robin moved in this year. *smile*
ReplyDeleteIf I could get that close to a nest.. so could my cats! I hope we don't have any birds stupid enough to build that low! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting being there to witness the babies being born!
ReplyDeleteAlicia your post this week is awesome. Great shots of the new babies. Living in the country I see lots of robin but I haven't see their birth. I have seen out cows give birth though.
ReplyDeleteHope is such a great word! I love the photos of the baby birds emerging. Fantastic! Hold on to Hope is perfect!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what amazing photos of the birds!! Capturing life, 'hope', like that is truly a gift! And the "hope" in the store window - fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing you got to see them hatch! Wonderful read, thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos... love that blue! Great catch on the hatch. Ours haven't nested yet, but I hope to have one in our gutter again. : )
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun to see your robin family hatched and busy with feeding. I love to see the birds at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteYAY! The babies are here. I hope the wriggle around a bit and those shells fall where you can collect them. What a treasure that would be. So exciting that you were able to actually catch the moment. Beautiful shots
ReplyDeleteAmazing! So wonderful to see hope in action
ReplyDeletehow fun to see that the babies emerge! and that you could actually capture some of that in your pictures! too fun
mama.
